Data Management
Data Management
OSU Libraries' Center for Digital Scholarship and Services provides the following research data management services in support of the OSU community:
Assistance with Data Management Plans
The National Science Foundation requires that all funding proposals include a Data Management Plan to address sharing and availability of data generated from the proposed research. You may use an OSU-specific data management planning tool to create your plan: DMP Tool.
You may also wish to consult our Guide to Data Management Planning.
Identifiers
We can generate and assign an unlimited number of DOIs or ARKs to OSU-affiliated data files as a member of EZID.
Data Curation in Digital Repositories
In some cases, ScholarsArchive@OSU can serve as a data repository for your research data. The libraries will also assist in identifying other options for data curation and storage such as subject based data repositories.
Workshops
Check http://bit.ly/w6LcgB for workshops each term.
Individual Consultation
We provide metadata, data organization and preservation expertise in relation to research data and can recommend optimal practices for keeping data usable and accessible to others.
““It is impossible to diagnose whether a species is recovering or floundering if you don’t have good data on their status and trends.” — Selina Heppell, OSU Fisheries Biologist
